Light kit is fine and works well on Hunter fan.Surprised to find it uses Candelabra bulbs since the description on Amazon stated that it uses stardard bulbs.
The quality is superb and the design is a masterpiece. I had a friend install the fan on a 30 degree angled ceiling. He said it was easy to install. There is no wobble at hi or low speeds. The remote offers versatility. The only thing i dont like is when the lamp is dim and you press the off switch, the lamp goes to full brightness and then fades.
Very Quiet and easy to install. our product came about 40% pre-installed, so we were able to skip a lot of the instruction steps. have two of these in the darker finish, one in the master and one in the downstairs living room. lots of wind, but no 'wind noise'. will be getting another for the game room! we got ours forabout $150 @ low es with 10% off coupon.
This fan has an early 1900's look that is fantastic. Seems to be cast metal that has an intricate pattern. Very different. Very impressive.
This is one of the few ceiling fans that doesn't look completely hideous (and is less than $500).I paid $169 on sale at Lamps Plus.Casa Vieja seems to be manufactured by Lamps Plus, as LP was mentioned on the box and in the manual.
My wife and I have been looking for a ceiling fan for over 3 months, we tried Home Depot, Lowes and even specialty Fan/Lighting stores but had no luck.We were looking for a a non traditional fan without the typical 3 lights under the fan.I purchased this fan from Amazon and have never regretted paying the extra few hundred for a great product.We have 12 foot ceilings and quite a large bedroom 18' x 15' and this fan circulates Air great and the entire room is lite if you turn on the 2 75W bulbs. It is expensive fan but looks and operates great.
I have this model in my living room over one year now and it looks stellar! It is a huge fan but looks right in proportion if you mount it on 9 to 10 foot ceilings. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed.
This is a gorgeous and well-designed fan.The manufacturer has used quality materials to achieve first-rate performance and a beautiful look.I anticipate that it will provide my family with many years of faithful service, and draw numerous compliments for its dramatic appearance.There's just one little problem:for the first few days after installation, it SMELLS.It's not an "electrical" or "burning wires" smell, but a smell that is vaguely reminiscent of a magic marker.After doing a bit of googling, I found that this problem is rather widespread by customers who have purchased Hunter fans over the past several years.The general consensus was that apparently during production, they use either a chemical dip or some other process which coats the fan motor and takes awhile to "burn off."This supposedly creates the smell.I contacted Hunter Customer Service several times about this.The first rep contended that she had never heard of this particular problem, and said I could return the fan for a replacement.(It was at this point I did the googling.)I then contacted Hunter again and the second rep said he usually told customers who called with this complaint that the smell should go away "after 24-48 hours" of fan operation.I found this to be the case (although after about a week, I still smell the faintest hint of magic marker after running the fan on high only.It's nowhere near as noticeable as when first installed).When I browsed the internet for the best deal before I made my purchase from Amazon.com, I noticed that most merchants were offering a great price--and one even had the fan marked for "clearance."Now - after the fact - I'm wondering whether this was as a result of customer complaints about the smell.In any event - I'm keeping the fan for the reasons I mentioned in the first three sentences of this review.However, I can't give it a 5-star recommendation.
This is good-looking fan!I love the remote control for operation & it's a Hunter & the quality shows. We used flush-mount & it looks very good.I like having the choice of 2 colors for the blades..we use black side & it looks sharp with the bronze finish.The price is about the best I could find anywhere plus free shipping made it a bargain.

The fan seems to be of excellent quality and was easy to install. The hanging bracket supplied had to be modified to work with the RACO Heavy Duty support I purchased specifically for this fan. The RACO box was listed as made for "Hunter Original Fans". The only problem I had was balacning the blades on the 2 fans I ordered. Very hard to do!!!!!!They were cheap pieces of plastic and flimsy veneer. Definately not worthy of this fan. I see it has been discontinued which is too bad. It seems that when something good is found some corporate big wig kills it. I can see why it has a lifetime warranty, with the oil bath bearing system the thing will probably not wear out. I would like to purchase 2 more in the next 2 years so hopefully they will be re-instated in the production.
Ok, fan is great now that its up.The mounting hardware is pathetic.The 3" mountin screws snapped during install.Turned the 5 min fan into a 2 hour fan...Other than that its pretty dang good fan.
I bought this fan because it (a) is a hugger fan, meaning it's not very tall, (b) is available in white--so it tends to blend in with the ceiling color, and (c) does not require you to use a remote control (I already had two wall switches for it and many of the remote control ones won't let you wire for use without the remote AND maintain full control).
We've only had this a few days, but I really love it. We thought we'd use the white side of the blades, but loved the graphite color - which looks spectacular against the brushed aluminum fixtures. It's modern without trying too hard and really well priced. We like this fan so much, we've already ordered another one!
We got the fan 2 weeks ago for our 2 story Family Room (20' by 19' by 18' tall), first thing we noticed: the advertised size of 54" on the box was taped over by a little 52".
Beautiful finishes and craftsmanship! This fan really added a lot to my bedroom...looks very elegant and obviously of high quality. Operation is easy and versatile, and it keeps my west-facing room nice and cool. I couldn't be happier with it!
Had an electrician install the Bingham fan. Very little air movement, tried reverse, was even worse. Contacted Hunter who said, oh this doesn't have a good CFM(?) rating. Nice to know now. They told me to return it to the vendor and get a different one. But....trying to find out how this works because I now have to pay the electrician to remove it, and then install a new one. Does Amazon send a shipping label to return fan? Not sure. May never buy Hunter again.
I had this same fan installed in my lake house and wanted another for my home. It's a great design and value and I saved $100 ordering from Amazon!!!
The light can not be turned up enough. It should allow for more wattage and CFL bulbs...The fan looks and works great though
Sharp looking fan that went up like a breeze.No remote control to deal with.Bulb is fluorescent, but due to the softening color of the glass shade it gives out a nice warm light.Good buy.
