but has a slight hum when operating at low and medium speeds.Hardly noticeable at high speed.I used the new CFL candelabra base bulbs 13w=60w regular.Nice and bright and saves energy too.Oak side of the blade not too attractive but the walnut color looks great w/ polished brass.Overall a good buy so I bought another for the family room.
