I ordered this fan planning to mount it outdoors.Amazon states it can be mounted outdoors but on arrival it is clear that it is intended only for indoor use, it does not have a damp rating.When I unpacked the fan, I discovered that the lamp fixture was rusted. I followed instructions and called Hunter who said they would ship me a new light fixture; when it arrived they had only shipped the glass globe.I painted the rusty lamp and mounted the fan in my family room where it looks and performs very well; otherwise I would have given it a one star rating.
